Concrete Core-Filled

Price Level: $$$$$

How we build them

Built on a deep, steel-reinforced concrete footing, these walls are designed to retain heavy loads and are probably the least attractive wall we can build.

We pour a footing and then build up the wall using blocks that have steel reinforcements running vertically to hold them all together.

We fill up inside the blocks with concrete to give the wall mass, making it incredibly strong.

These walls can be cement rendered to make them more attractive.

ADVANTAGES

  • Can be built high (with engineering)
  • Long lasting
  • Great for situations where a very strong wall is required (structural application)

DISADVANTAGES

  • Require extensive excavation
  • Require large reinforced concrete footings
  • May require rendering
