Timber crib walls are built using H4 treated pine.
We create a very strong structure of timber beams that extend back behind the wall. While the timbers are fixed together, the wall is held in place by the mass of rock that is used to backfill as we build up the wall.
These walls are very strong, can be built high but are deep compared to other wall types meaning we need more space.
