Building Tasman Block walls is a really satisfying job. On this job at Fletcher, recently completed for Claire Ball, we built five retaining walls; two in the front yard, two in the back yard and one at the side. Claire’s land sloped from the rear to the front and so a wall was necessary at the back of the block to prevent erosion from the neighbouring property at the rear. An additional small wall (about 450mm high) was built near the back of the house with a couple of steps up to a large flat back and side yard. We turfed these areas with Sir Walter Buffalo.
In the front yard we built two large stepped walls with garden beds and planted these out. We also built a neat set of steps starting on the angled driveway and leading up to the entrance.
Again our Estimator and Project Manager, Dominic Gleeson, received some fantastic feedback from Claire Ball:
Dom and the team were fabulous to deal with and completed our project to a very high standard! We are thrilled with the final results and could not recommend Novascape highly enough.
Thanks for the positive feedback Claire.
If you are thinking about upgrading an existing retaining wall or upgrading your yard with a new retaining wall this is a great example of what it can look like.
