Core-filled retaining wall in Merewether

Jake and his team have been busy in Merewether building a very neat mid-sized core-filled retaining wall.

We were asked to replace a collapsing brick retaining wall.

Council approval and engineered drawings

Because the wall is on a boundary it required council approval. The new wall also required engineered drawings because of its structural nature. We worked with the engineers to make sure that we built an effective foundation that straddled an existing sewer pipe. We poured two concrete piers that allowed us to form up a bridge that effectively anchored the wall without impacting the pipes.

Letterboxes

We added 5 new letterboxes, prepped the wall to be cement rendered and left the site clean in preparation for turfing.

Strong and long-lasting

This is a great example of a mid-sized wall that is very strong and long-lasting.
