Novascape Landscaping, this is Ruby
You might have noticed a new voice answering the phones at Novascape. We’d like to introduce you to Ruby Conradsen. Ruby is our new Business Administration Trainee and we’re super excited to have her on board. We received 116 applications for this position and were delighted with the quality of the applicants. Ruby really stood out. Sheridan Armstrong, our operations manager, said:
“When interviewing for our traineeship, candidates were articulate, enthusiastic and beaming with excitement. Ruby had all this but she also had a plan. She’d thought about what the Novascape family could do for her and what she could offer in return.”
Over the next few weeks, Shannen will be teaching Ruby the basics of the job. Shannen’s doing an excellent job and Ruby is learning quickly.
A bit about Ruby
One of the reasons we’re excited about having Ruby on the team is that she brings great experience in the hospitality industry with her. In fact, you may have seen her around. Since 2009, she’s been offering customers a friendly face and brewing a mean coffee at popular cafés including The Spot in Hamilton and Juicy Beans Café (now Blue Door Café) on Merewether beach.
Ruby is great with numbers and understands the importance of things running smoothly. As the second in charge at Blue Door Cafe, she was responsible for the daily operation of the cafe. If you’ve been there on a weekend around breakfast time you’ll appreciate that this requires a great degree of organisational skill.
Ruby and You
When you call us, you’ll speak with Ruby first. She’ll be taking care of incoming enquiries and reception at our office in Cardiff. Behind the scenes, she’ll make sure that our accounts payable and receivable are up to date, make sure the Novascape team are paid, manage our workplace health and safety obligations and take care of general administration. You can expect to receive correspondence from Ruby.
We’re looking forward to Ruby maintaining our high standard of customer service. As Sheridan put it on Ruby’s first day: “Her down to earth approach and vision made me wonder what beautiful possibilities could unfold in her time with us… stay tuned to find out!”
