Winter Weeding

There might not appear to be much going on in your garden over winter. But one thing’s for sure; the weeds continue to grow!

Now is a great time to pull out weeds before they take hold of your garden. It’s best to weed after a rainfall, this way the ground is nice and soft.

Soft ground helps you to ensure that you pull out the full root bundle and not just the leaves off the top.

Don’t toss the weeds in the bin; chuck them on your compost heap, in your worm farm or feed them to chickens (chooks love fresh weeds and will turn them into beautiful eggs!).

Happy weeding!
